Solar Opposites has been renewed for a fifth season on Hulu, much to the delight of fans of the series. The news comes just days after the show’s Halloween special, A Sinister Halloween Scary Opposites Solar Special, aired following a successful third season.
Hulu's Solar Opposites follows a family of extraterrestrials who are stranded on earth following a crash-landing on the planet and chronicles their misadventures as they adjust to life on Earth and explore the differences between their new home and the dystopian Planet Shlorp that their species originates from. The show has enjoyed a lot of fan acclaim, even garnering favorable comparisons to animated sensation Rick and Morty, which series showrunner Justin Roiland also had a role in creating.

This week, a positively received announcement at New York Comic-Con confirmed that Solar Opposites had been renewed for a fifth season on the uniquely innovative Hulu streaming service, as The Hollywood Reporter relayed in a post-event report. The announcement comes as a pleasant surprise to some fans, as the show is yet to air its fourth season, leading to confusion about the sequence of events. However, the fourth season has already been written and is in production, currently slated to release in 2023.
