So, Daredevil Born Again Will Just Be Season 3... Again?
Daredevil: Born Again, a Disney+ MCU series, is confirmed to be happening for a 2024 release, and the title suggests that it could be very similar to Netflix’s Daredevil season 3. While Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio Wilson Fisk had already been incorporated into the MCU thanks to Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye, Daredevil: Born Again will mark the first Daredevil-centered Marvel Studios production. The canon status of the Netflix Daredevil show remains a mystery, but the“Born Again” title and Daredevil season 3 have a strong connection.
Years after the Ben AffleckDaredevil movie, the Netflix Daredevil show brought Matt Murdock back to live-action now with a much more grounded, grittier take. Netflix’s Daredevil borrowed a lot from Frank Miller’s Daredevil run, both in terms of aesthetics and story. Daredevil season 2 then expanded the universe by bringing Elektra and Frank Castle, the Punisher, in a season that also involved fantasy elements. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil later joined Netflix’s The Defenders crossover series, further cementing the character’s insertion in a more fantastic world.

Daredevil was declared dead at the end of The Defenders, which gave Daredevil season 3 both a challenge and a creative opportunity. Matt Murdock was hurt and officially dead, meaning that Hell’s Kitchen no longer had Daredevil to protect it.
