A fan edit of Spider-Man: No Way Home sees Deadpool target Peter Parker’s shockingly average lawyer, Matt Murdock. Marvel Studios and Sony’s third entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Homecoming trilogy follows Tom Holland’s Peter Parker after the web slinger’s identity was revealed to the world in Spider-Man: Far From Home. When Peter goes to Doctor Strange for help undoing this, the subsequent spell invites iconic villains from Sony’s past, along with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men, to Earth-616. As Phase 4’s first multiversal blockbuster, No Way Home paves the way for a handful of familiar characters to become a part of the MCU — not least of which is Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.
Before Stephen Strange’s spell goes awry or Ned Leeds uses his sling ring to open portals, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock/Daredevil helps Peter with his Mysterio-related legal troubles in No Way Home. In the film’s first act, Murdock visits Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau, who played Foggy Nelson in 2003’s Daredevil), Aunt May, and Peter to tell the latter the charges against him aren’t going to stick. However, he’ll still have to deal with the court of public opinion. Just then, a brick smashes into May’s apartment and is promptly caught by Daredevil, because he’s a “really good lawyer.”
