Editor’s Note: A lawsuit has been filed against Activision Blizzard by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, which alleges the company has engaged in abuse, discrimination, and retaliation against its female employees. A supposed leak suggests Snoop Dogg could appear in future Call of Duty: Warzone content as a new playable Operator. Should this prove true, the news would come following Snoop's appearance on stage with Dr. Dre at the halftime show for Super Bowl LVI. Such a move wouldn't surprise too many, though. After all, Snoop Dogg game cameos are the stuff of legend, especially since he featured in 2004's Def Jam: Fight for NY. The icon has also served as a commentator for the likes of UFC 3 and Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Call of Duty: Warzone is no stranger to celebrity guest stars, interestingly enough. In May 2021, for instance, a mid-season update for both Black Ops Cold War andWarzone unleashed an 80s Action Heroes event, complete with two icons from the era acting as playable Operators — Rambo and Die Hard's John McClane. These Legendary Operators, as they were termed, came equipped with classic movie skins, three Legendary Weapon Blueprints, and a character-appropriate finishing move. Apparently, Warzone's Rambo and John McClane content marks only the beginning of the free-to-play shooter's celebrity cameos.
