It has been barely two weeks since the calendars turned and already the market is full of activity. In the last 12 days, We have seen numerous smartphone launches from all manufacturers, all trying to bring something new across various price points. If you had assumed that the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, Moto G71 and Samsung Galaxy S21 FE were the only big launches, then you are mistaken.
As January 2022 progresses, some big launches in the world of smartphones are pending. Xiaomi is set to announce its flagship-grade Xiaomi 11T Pro while Realme is kicking off its episode in India with the budget Realme 9i. iQOO has also teased the iQOO 9 series, although an exact launch date is yet to be announced.

The Realme 9i has already launched in global markets and we expect the phone to arrive in India unchanged. That means we could see the phone coming with the Snapdragon 680 chip, 6.6-inch FHD+ 90Hz LCD display, a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and Realme UI 2 based on Android 11. You get a 50MP main + 2MP macro + 2MP B/W sensor, and a 16MP front camera on this one.
Considering that this is a “i” series device, you can expect it to cost the same as the Moto G31 and Infinix Note 11.
The Realme GT Neo 2 isn't new anymore but Realme has been actively teasing bringing the Dragon Ball Z special edition version to India. The specs are likely to stay unchanged but the rear will wear a tasty Dragon Ball Z-inspired paintjob. Users can also expect a special theme to celebrate this Anime cartoon series.
