When it comes to gaming, most people tend not to give digital food much thought, unless it's something required for health, like in BioShock, for example. While there are videos games that do have iconic food items, such as the cake from Portal or the mushrooms from Super Mario Bros., a lot of the time it's just there to lend the world a sense of believability. The same can be said for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, in that many fans might not see it as a necessity, unless playing in survival mode. However, it is possible for people to go against their parent's wishes and actually play with their food, instead.
A user by the name of AggravatingBreak3311 has uploaded a screenshot from Skyrim, which shows a normal interior location from within the game. Except the room is chock-full of cabbages. Bunched up in one area, the player has showcased the sheer amount of the green, leafy vegetable they've managed to collect so far, with there seeming to be hundreds of them. Quite why they've decided to do this is not clear.

Given the amount of time that the game has been out and the number of re-releases it's had over the years, it's possible the original poster just needed something new to fill the in-game time. It's also not the first instance of something like this happening. Recently, one Skyrim player decided to fill Breezehome entirely with cheese, creating a waist high sea of wheels and wedges that cover the entire floor of the Whiterun home, causing some in the comments to refer to it as «Cheese Home» and «Brie's Home.»
As mentioned above, Skyrim's survival mode makes eating and drinking a necessity, so players will need to actually procure food items along their journey
