When The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was first released, many players likely did not expect just how massive the open-world action-RPG title would be. Some fans have taken years to complete the main plotline of Skyrim simply because they have encountered so many side quests or points of interest as they go through the story. However, these supporting side quests often lead to hilarious experiences, as shown by one player whose character name choice has made it awkward in one of the quests in Skyrim's Dark Brotherhood storyline.
The main story of Skyrim seems to only take players roughly 34-35 hours of game time if played straight through. However, many in the community likely find themselves losing hours of their playthrough due to the amount of other content they can experience. This does not even include the other Skyrim DLCs and expansions such as Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. What's more, the sheer amount of fan-generated mods that are available for the player base often provide more things to do, whether it is a completely new plot line outside the game's official scripts or a new series of quests and areas where players can find fan-created weapons and armor.

According to MrHyde_Behind, they had unconsciously named their playable Skyrim main character Astrid without thinking about the side quest's storyline. Most Skyrim players would recall that Astrid is the name of the leader of the assassin group, and the Dragonborn will likely receive this note
