At this point, 11 years after The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim first launched, mods for the game can accomplish almost anything. From turning the dragons in Skyrim into twisted versions of Macho Man Randy Savage to sending giants flying into the sky with their own clubs, there are plenty of strange and wacky mods that can have the latest Elder Scrolls entry feeling like an entirely different game. However, sometimes Skyrim players want a simple, lore-friendly mod that gives the game a nice, extra detail.
This is where the Adventurer's Sketchbook mod comes in. For Skyrim players who really want to be immersed in their adventure across the land of the Nords, this mod may prove useful. Like Arthur Morgan's journal in Red Dead Redemption 2, the Adventurer's Sketchbook allows a player to build up a collection of sketches whenever they visit an important location in Skyrim. Unlike the Red Dead Redemption 2 journal, the Adventurer's Sketchbook does not let players to create written diary entries or have any written text read aloud, mostly due to the fact that Skyrim's protagonist is silent.

For many, it is a simple touch that adds much to both the characterization of Arthur Morgan and John Marston. One Red Dead Redemption 2 player liked the idea so much they recreated Arthur's journal in real life. Adding a version of the sketchbook into Skyrim gives players a similar connection with the game world around them, and it can be picked up from the beginning of the game and kept until the very end.
