Sifu players are ranking the game's skill moves, proving once and for all that Sliding Kick is essential.
As you've probably heard by now, Sifu is a difficult game to get through and one that doesn't give the player much quarter. One of the only advantages you'll have is that you can purchase skill moves to help you get through encounters, eventually being able to permanently unlock them by pouring enough points into them. Until then, though, you're going to need to choose what upgrades you want very carefully.

Redditor mild_psychopathy posted their own tier list on the Sifu subreddit ranking which skills they think are the most essential to have in a Sifu run. The tier runs from S (godlike and essential) to F (why). Right at the bottom of the list is Thigh Cut Focus, a focus ability that can only be used with swords, and Crooked Foot, a move that lets you trip someone up after parrying them.
Moving up to Rank E has a bunch of the game's focus moves, along with Flowing Claw and Duck Strike. Rank D is strictly for the rest of the game's focus moves, which the Redditor claims are too expensive to be worth it. Rank C has the most entries overall, calling moves like Raining Strikes and Spin Hook Kick as cool but "situational".
Moving up to Rank S, which is what is considered "essential", we have Environmental Mastery, Weapon Mastery, Crotch Punch, and Chasing Trip Kick, all of which are some of the game's more broken moves. The disrespect to the Slide Kick, which is in Rank A, is real.
