In a shocking incident of a phone blast, a Redmi Note 11T Pro has allegedly exploded in China, leaving the device entirely charred. The video of the exploded device was shared by a Twitter user. Another recent instance was highlighted by a YouTuber who tweeted that the battery of a Redmi 6A device exploded in Delhi-NCR area resulting in the death of his aunt. Xiaomi also responded to the tweet and said that it was trying to reach the impacted family and investigate the matter. Just days later, another such alleged Redmi phone blast incident has come to light.
The post was shared by a user named Piyush Bhaskar (@TechKard) who shared the post on Twitter from TikTok. The video was captioned with the text “Redmi Note 11T Pro Blast in China”. The video shows a Redmi Note 11T Pro device which is badly charred and the front display has come apart. The user has not provided any additional information regarding the alleged blast of the smartphone in the video and as such remains unsubstantiated. Xiaomi has yet to put out an official statement on this.
The Twitter post was shared on September 13 and has garnered 93 likes and 48 retweets at the time of writing this. The smartphone in the video shows signs of a badly burnt phone. The back panel has melted till the camera bump, the display has shattered and the rest of the phone has fallen apart. There was no explanation of what happened to the device apart from the description in the post. It is also unconfirmed the reason why the smartphone exploded, or if it really did so. The video suggests that the battery might have exploded.
