Rachel Zegler reacts to her Shazam! Fury of the Gods character finally being unveiled in the new trailer shown at the sequel's San Diego Comic-Con panel. Released in 2019, David F. Sandberg's Shazam! was a hit with both audiences and critics, telling the story of young Billy Batson (Asher Angel) and his superpower to transform into the adult hero Shazam (Zachary Levi). It was announced soon after the success of the first film that a sequel was in development, with a number of exciting new actors joining the cast.
Zegler, known for her role in Steven Spielberg'sWest Side Story, was among several new actors to join the cast of Shazam! Fury of Gods. Her role has remained somewhat mysterious since the casting was first announced, but the actress herself confirmed that she is playing the younger sister to goddess characters played by Helen Miren and Lucy Liu. That isn't the only news Zegler has hinted at regarding the film, however, with the star previously teasing that she may share screen time with Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman in the upcoming Shazam! sequel.

Now, with the release of a brand new trailer, Zegler has taken to Twitter to react to her mysterious character finally being unveiled. In a fun series of tweets following the big reveal, the actor teases "what's comic-con?" before sharing a still from the trailer of her character with light emanating from her palms as she prepares to use her powers. Zegler then jokes that Sandberg, the director, is the one who taught her how to shoot light from her hands. Check out Zegler's tweets below:
