The ShadPS4 PlayStation 4 emulator has been making some incredible progress in the past few days, and it is now capable of running Bloodborne at high frame rates and higher resolutions than the base release.
As showcased in a couple of videos shared by BrutalSam, the PlayStation 4 emulator can run what is one of the console's most popular exclusive games at 1800p resolution and at high framerates, such as 120 and 144 FPS. Emulation is clearly far from being accurate, as visuals are still not rendered properly in some instances, but considering how the emulator was only able to boot the game a few weeks ago, this is incredible progress. The day Bloodborne will be fully playable on PC doesn't seem too far off in the future now.
ShadPS4 emulating Bloodborne properly is only the first step, as a known Souls series modder confirmed earlier this month that they are working on a remaster featuring upscaled textures, dynamic shadows, better reflections, and more. As such, PC players are still getting that coveted remaster that Sony doesn't seem interested in releasing in the near future.
