It has been announced by Netflix during the Geeked Weekend Summer Game Fest event that a new game based on the Shadow and Bone TV series, Shadow and Bone: Destinies, is currently in development. Netflix recently branched out into gaming, offering mobile game titles as part of its membership. The service is geared toward mobile platforms and supports Android and iOS devices through the Netflix app.
The Shadow and Bone series is a TV adaptation based on the popular novels by Leigh Bardugo, the author known for other titles such as Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom. The series, which first aired on April 23, 2021, includes popular actors such as Ben Barnes, playing General Kirigan, and Jessie Mei Li as Alina Starkov. The show is a great fit for fans of high fantasy plot lines and action-packed adventures, and the same narrative premise could make it an excellent fit for a video game adaptation.
