Sega has finally confirmed that the Sega Genesis Mini 2's North American release date will be the same as Japan's. The Sega Genesis Mini 2 was announced last month during a livestream alongside the confirmed launch date in Japan. Sega also announced the game-title list that featured many Sega CDs and a brand new game included among the classics.

Fans are still able to play many older Sega Genesis games through Nintendo Switch Online for an extra fee and can even purchase Genesis controllers specifically for the Switch, so it'll be interesting to see if this affects Genesis Mini 2's success.
