Sebastian Stan teases what fans can expect from Anthony Mackie in Captain America 4. After persistent rumors, the Marvel Studios project was finally confirmed to be on its way. Written by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, no release date has been set for the movie, but despite that, Stan is offering some details about it.
Ever since their chemistry became apparent in Captain America: Civil War, Stan's Bucky Barnes and Mackie's Sam Wilson have become somewhat of an odd couple in the MCU. After the events of Avengers: Endgame, they were given their own show on Disney+. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was supposed to kick off Phase 4, but due to schedule changes because of the coronavirus pandemic, it was pushed back a couple of months. Nonetheless, the show was well-received and by the end of it, Sam officially took on the mantle as Steve Rogers' successor as the new Captain America.

On the heels of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Captain America 4 was finally formalized. But, as they are with all of their projects, Marvel Studios has been secretive about it. Plot details are still scarce at the moment, but in an interview with Kevin Polowy promoting his new series, Fresh, Stan shared his excitement over the film. He also said that Mackie will bring something new to the idea of what Captain America should be about. Finally, he compared it to Rocky but unfortunately didn't expound on this.
