Chris Evans' Captain America has received a new throwback Funko Pop! figure equipped with his prototype shield. Fans were first introduced to Evans as Steve Rogers, a skinny kid from Brooklyn, in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, which chronicled the character's transformation into the titular super-soldier. Evans' most recent appearance came in Avengers: Endgame, which during its final moments, saw Old Steve Rogers pass his vibranium shield on to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), effectively enshrining him as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's new Captain America.
Though this emotional passing of the torch seemingly marked the end of Evans' time in the MCU, there has been rampant speculation about his return ever since. Even so, the franchise has all but solidified Sam Wilson as the Captain America of the future. The Disney+ series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier saw Sam struggling with the decision to take on the mantle before fully embracing it during the final episode, setting him up as the star of Captain America 4. But Steve Rogers will always be Captain America in the hearts of many fans thanks to Evans' near decade-long run as the character.
