Sea of Thieves is Rare's persistently popular open world pirate game that has managed to sell 5 million copies on Steam and is still one of the most-played games on Xbox. Rare has managed to maintain the Sea of Thieves fan base by regularly releasing new content for the game. This has come through seasonal content and more substantial updates, with one of the biggest updates being the Sea of Thieves Anniversary update that dropped in 2019 and added a slew of new features for fans to enjoy.
Rare isn't slowing down its support of Sea of Thieves in 2022. Rare has released a Sea of Thieves 2022 roadmap that shows fans exactly what they can expect from the pirate game this year, which includes the new Adventures and Mysteries, Sea Fort raids, and much more.
