Warning: SPOILERS lie ahead for Scream 2022
Scream 6 is bringing back four survivors of the 2022 sequel with Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Melissa Barrera. The iconic slasher franchise roared back to life earlier this year with Scream, which acted as the fifth installment in the series and focused on a new Ghostface targeting a group of teenagers with links to the original Woodsboro murders. With the body count growing, the friends must look to franchise vets Sidney Prescott, Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers for help in putting a stop to the killings.
Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox returned to reprise their roles of Sidney, Dewey and Gale for Scream alongside Roger L. Jackson as the voice of Ghostface and Marley Shelton as Woodsboro Sheriff Judy Hicks while the film introduced Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jack Quaid, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Kyle Gallner to the franchise. Helmed by Ready or Not duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the film received largely positive reviews from critics and audiences alike for embodying Wes Craven's meta voice, brutal kills and the performances from its cast. With Scream also becoming a box office hit, grossing over $140 million against its $24 million budget, Paramount is moving forward with Scream 6 and new details are emerging for the sequel.
