Pokemon Scarlet & Violet was in pretty rough shape when it launched. Bug fixes are officially coming though, and Nintendo has provided a long list of the next problems it will tackle. However, one issue will be resolved at the expense of certain areas being densely packed with Pokemon and people.
The 1.2.0 update will go live in late February, and one of the biggest issues it will address is a bug that closes the games when players visit certain locations. A major issue that needs to be fixed, but as has been highlighted by Centro Leaks, it comes at a cost. The affected areas will include fewer wild Pokemon and people when the patch is applied.

“As a result of this fix, there may be a reduction of Pokemon and people displayed in certain towns or in the wild,” Pokemon's patch notes read. If you have encountered the bug, then you will soon be able to safely visit the affected areas, but there will be fewer Pokemon to catch there if in the wild, or fewer people to interact with if it happened in one of Paldea's towns.
Pokemon is aiming to fix a lot of problems via this next patch. Not only the games forcibly closing, but also a number of issues players have been experiencing when battling, both in normal battles and tera raid battles. A number of features will be added in an attempt to make your Pokemon boxes easier to use too. Trainers will have the ability to change nicknames through their boxes and also swap held items using the Y button, among other things.
