Samsung has officially announced its Galaxy Book2 Pro laptops at the ongoing MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona. The series includes the Galaxy Book2 Pro and Galaxy Book2 Pro 360. The new laptops succeed the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 that were announced at Samsung's Unpacked event in April 2021. The annual MWC show usually sees big-ticket launches by tech brands. Given that Samsung already launched its Galaxy S22 series flagships at a standalone event in February, the brand used MWC to announce its latest laptops instead.
The Galaxy Book series launched in 2021 consisted of three models: the Galaxy Book, Galaxy Book Pro, and Galaxy Book 360. The Pro models were Windows laptops powered by 11th-Gen Intel processors. They also offered AMOLED displays and inbuilt fingerprint sensors. The Galaxy Book 360 was a 2-in-1 device, offering a touchscreen display, rotating hinges, and S-Pen support.

The new Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro laptops follow the same design principles as their predecessors, but expectedly bring in upgrades across the board. Both Windows 11 laptops are powered by the latest 12th-Gen Intel processors in Core i5 or Core i7 configurations. They are available with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB NVMe SSD storage. Video calls on the Galaxy Book2 series are also improved thanks to 1080p webcams with a wider field of view. The laptops even offer a few extra features like background and face effects, as well as Auto Framing to keep users centered during calls.
The Galaxy Book2 Pro comes in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch screen sizes, both with FHD AMOLED panels. The larger model will feature the new Intel Arc discrete GPU.
