S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is coming soon after multiple delays, delivering the long-awaited follow-up to the sandbox survival shooter franchise. Artifacts have always been important, providing passive benefits when equipped. In a new Steam Community post, GSC Game World has outlined some returning from previous games, including Mama’s Beads, Kolobok, and The Soul.
The first seemingly provides bleed resistance, while the second offers resistance to “chemical agents”, potentially referring to radiation. Finally, the third enables “less exhausting” and “more fun” movement, which could translate to lower stamina costs when sprinting.
Two new Artifacts are also available in Stone Heart and Magic Cube. The former allows for grabbing and carrying more “precious scrap”, while the latter can dampen the effects of “external kinetic energy bursts.”
Of course, Artifacts are just another resource like guns, bandages, food, and whatnot, allowing you to sell them on the Black Market. With how dangerous and unpredictable the Zone can be, they may be worth hanging on to just in case.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl launches on November 20th for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out our feature for more information.
