Rupert Grint has been announced to join the cast of M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin. Following the surprise box office success of Old, which surpassed over $90 million globally, the highly anticipated thriller is the latest project to be written, directed, and produced by Shyamalan for Universal Pictures. Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin is currently set to premiere early next year in February.
Now, according to Deadline, Grint is set to join the cast of Knock at the Cabin, alongside NW star Nikki Amuka-Bird and Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista. Shyamalan’s latest thriller to be distributed by Universal Pictures marks the latest collaboration between Shyamalan and Grint, as they previously worked together on the psychological thriller Apple TV+ series Servant. The series was recently announced for a season 4 renewal, with Grint earning the 2021 Hollywood Critics Award for “Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Series, Drama.”

Despite being most recognized for his titular role in the Harry Potter franchise, Grint is no stranger to the thriller and horror genre. Along with this casting announcement, Grint is also set to join the star-studded cast for Guillermo del Toro’s horror anthology series, Cabinet of Curiosities, slated to premiere on Netflix. Knock at the Cabin was recently pushed up from a February 17, 2023 release to February 3, 2023. While this was reportedly to avoid the Marvel/Disney release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the MCU film has now also coincidentally been pushed back.
