Since the RuneScape team announced late last year thatthe next brand new skill would be Necromancy, we haven't heard much more. Now the team has a roadmap update, including when we’ll know more about Necromancy (this month) which will be getting its own full season.
With this roadmap update, Jagex has not only revealed that the first big look at Necromancy will be coming on May 30th, but that it will come with a fully themed season around it. On May 30th, we can expect a live video on YouTube that will feature team members revealing some of the core pillars and elements of the Necromancy skill and show the first gameplay. On May 31st, expect a stream with RuneScape developers on Twitch to chat about the previous day's reveal and have a community Q&A.
This will be the first reveal but they will have a lot more, and in the roadmap announcement, they promise some deep dives and looks inside the development and testing. However, don’t expect everything. “Our goal leading up to release is to give you the most detailed look at a new Skill ever — but balanced with enough secrecy to make sure the day one experience remains special.” This makes even more sense in light of the fact that there will be an entire season opening with the new skill’s arrival.
Also in the update are details onFort Forthinry’s season, lifting the cap on max cash, and some other planned things, including game jam updates, and The Beach returning in June.
Fort Forthinry’s season continues, and with this announcement, we now know there will be two more big updates in this season, with the first coming next month in June, and the second wrapping up the season. Expect balance updates, new ways to build your fort, and new buildings.
As for those
