Sony's PSVR 2's design, features, and potential capabilities were only recently announced. Marketed with a push for new properties and experiences like Horizon: Call of the Mountain, Sony looked like it was preparing to hit the ground running with its next-gen VR Headset. This tweet talks generally about the VR displays expected to ship increasing significantly throughout the year, so at least on this front, there are no issues in this supply chain. It's possible that a delay to the PSVR 2 could be at the back of the, admittedly shortening, line of supply chain issues that hampered the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S for nearly a year and a half.
It's also possible that the PSVR 2 delay has nothing to do with the subsiding
