Marvel Comics is about to debut a new anthology series centered on Moon Knight, which features a future version of the character who brings the of protecting those who travel by night to a whole new level.
Moon Knight: Black, White, & Blood is the latest in a series of similarly-titled Marvel monochrome anthologies, with previous installments featuring Wolverine, Deadpool, Carnage, and Elektra. The idea behind the project is that the use of monochrome and red (the color of blood) highlights the brutal nature of these characters, but each book is also a showcase of talented creators who craft short, compelling stories. With Moon Knight, Marvel will doubtless focus on the concept that the Fist of Khonshu is a role that has existed throughout history, with one of the three stories included in the issue showing how a future Moon Knight approaches their duty.

Marvel revealed the design for this version of Moon Knight a few months in advance, through sketches drawn by the legendary Chris Bachalo, who will provide art for this story, with former X-Men mastermind Jonathan Hickman writing. This Moon Knight seems to be sporting some advanced tech, including a futuristic helmet. The two talented creators are taking the character 6000 years into the future, where they will travel in space to avenge Khonshu. The first preview pages shared by Marvel show that this future Moon Knight has a cosmic level of concern, thinking about how, when all the stars disappear, the night will hold dominion over all.
