Joe took to Melissa's podcast to call out his sister for not inviting his wife to her wedding but inviting new in-laws. He went on to make claims of holding down the show and Teresa's household while she served an 11-month prison sentence. Joe even quipped that his nieces would be "homeless" had he not helped the family during the trying time. Melissa also encouraged Teresa to quit the show if she was so miserable during filming.

The bold claims point to the tension between the family since wrapping season 12. Melissa isn't slowing down from subtly shading her sister-in-law. She recently shut down the Teresa fans who make claims that the Gorgas were only cast on the show because of their family drama with the show OG. “I mean, Do people think that if Teresa wasn’t on the show and Bravo came to interview Joe and I — we wouldn’t have made it onto the show — but all of these other people would have?" Melissa said on the Mention It All podcast. She blasted the "silly" claims without mentioning the likelihood that Bravo was more interested in casting the brother and sister-in-law of the show's main star.
