The first few moments of Resident Evil 4 have been almost perfectly replicated by an impressively detailed live-action fan video. This tribute to the beloved horror-action title comes right as the series is seeing a sort of revival, with remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 breaking onto the scene over the past couple of years, and rumors circulating that even Resident Evil 4 itself might be remade.
Resident Evil 4 is a rural European thrill ride that follows the story of Leon S. Kennedy as he aims to rescue the daughter of the United States President from a group of insidious cultists. Just like many of the earlier games in the franchise, Resident Evil 4 places a heavy emphasis on resource management and slow-paced gameplay — although many consider this entry to be the point where the games began to become more action-oriented. The so-called «tank-controls» made their return in Resident Evil 4, which essentially forced players to rotate the camera and the player character independently, rather than at the same time like with most contemporary games. Despite, or perhaps because of, these sorts of classic gameplay staples, RE4 is considered one of the best games in the series, even getting re-released on the Oculus Quest VR headset last year.
