The Resident Evil 4 remake sadly won't add the fan-requested ghostly "Hookman" hallucination from the E3 2003 demo for the game, which showed a much more horror-focused adventure for Leon.
Over the past few weeks, Capcom has slowly been rolling out more information about the Resident Evil 4 remake, finally showing us a bit more gameplay footage and revealing new details about what the remade version will change and introduce. One of the most interesting things confirmed so far is that the remake will include enemies that were cut from the original release, including a goat-head-wearing villager and a "female zealot". This had some fans hoping for the appearance of the "Hookman" from the 2003 beta, but it looks like that's not happening.

Yesterday, Game Informer interviewed the Resident Evil 4 remake's director, Yasuhiro Ampo, and its producer, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, to ask them 80 rapid-fire questions about the game, ranging from silly questions like why Leon gets chicken eggs from snakes (this time around you'll get snake meat), to questions that led to more substantial reveals, like the confirmation of a photo mode and New Game Plus.
One of the biggest questions that Game Informer asked Ampo and Hirabayashi was whether the remake would include the long-awaited "Hookman" from the E3 2003 demo build of the original game. This has been such a long-standing question from Resident Evil 4 fans, that Game Informer even pointed it out as one of the big questions it asked in the interview, saying, "Yes, we asked about the hook man" in the video's description.
