One fan has put together a cinematic that lets us see Resident Evil 4 through Leon Kennedy's eyes, watching as he encounters his first regenerator, strewn across a hospital bed in a derelict laboratory as a door is beaten down. The camera pans to show Leon taking in his surroundings, inspecting the dank and dusty room, ending in a teaser for the full project.
But it's not playable. It's a cinematic rendered in Unreal Engine 4 that looks at what the classic 00's survival horror could have looked like if it went in a completely different direction. Luckily it didn't. 4 was responsible for shaping the third-person shooter genre as we know it today, but the original Resident Evil was first conceived as a first-person shooter, something that would later come to fruition with 7 and Village.

Village takes a lot of inspiration from 4, stylising itself in a very similar manner - albeit with a tall dommy mommy vampire at the center - but this cinematic from siemieniaco (as spotted by DualShockers) gives us a glimpse into an alternate history, one where Capcom embraced the growing FPS genre to make something a little more intimate, a little eerier.
On his Artstation page, you can find the video embedded above along with a slew of screenshots showing this alternate Resident Evil 4 perspective, but it wasn't put together alone. Siemieniaco, or Florian Neumann, worked on this Unreal Engine 4 render alongside Davinci Resolve who worked on the colour grading and editing, resulting in an almost teaser-like reveal for a game that doesn't exist.
Although, what shape the heavily rumoured and leaked Resident Evil 4 remake will take still remains to be seen. It
