Report: teen accused for leading recent cyber attacks

A teenager from Oxford, England has been accused as being the leader behind hacker group Lapsus$ and is allegedly responsible for generating $14 million from its activities.
According to the BBC, the minor's identity was revealed following a fallout with business partners.
The group Lapsus$ has been attributed to "actively tracking a large-scale social engineering and extortion campaign," Microsoft said earlier this week.
VGC reported that the outfit carried out similar actions against Nvidia and Samsung.
The BBC went on to say that investigators leader were tracking the hacker leader for sometime before his information was leaked.
"We've had his name since the middle of last year and we identified him before the doxxing," said chief research officer at cyber-security investigation company Unit 221B Allison Nixon.
Authorities told the publication that their inquiries remain ongoing.
