CD Projekt Red is already hard at work on The Witcher 4, although it really doesn’t need to. We’ve already got a perfectly good Witcher game in Elden Ring.
Don’t believe me? Check out this video shared by Reddit user Fatg0d. Elden Ring already has everything you need to become Geralt of Rivia. First, pick the Prisoner’s clothing, leather boots, and leather gloves to get a distinctly light-armored Geralt look. Second, arm yourself with both the Banished Knight’s Greatsword and the Claymore. The Banished Knight’s Greatsword might be a little difficult to acquire early on, so maybe consider the Bastard Sword as an easy replacement. They’re both quite good.

Now we need the Witcher signs. Putting the Storm Blade Ash of War on the Claymore serves as a good stand-in for Aard, while Quen can be created in the Flask of Wondrous Physick using the Opaline Bubbletear. Yrden comes courtesy of the Waves of Darkness incantation, while several spells are perfectly capable of producing flames for Igni. Flame of the Redmanes is recommended in the video, but Catch Flame works just fine.
Sadly, Elden Ring doesn’t really get too much into mind control magic, so Axii doesn’t have a particularly good replacement. However, Elden Ring is full of aromatic flasks and explosive pots to stand in for The Witcher’s potions and bombs. A light crossbow in the off-hand and a Quickstep Ash of War on the Banished Knight Greatsword/Bastard Sword, and presto! Geralt makes the leap from Skellige to The Lands Between.
Speaking of Geralt, everyone’s favorite monster-hunter womanizer is finally getting his next-gen upgrade. The Witcher 3 will receive a powerful boost on Xbox Series X and PS5 in Q4
