The Red Hood has a genuine reason for not trusting and holding hatred towards Batman, but it's not just because he refused to kill the Joker. In Task Force Z #4 by DC Comics, the Dark Knight checks in on Jason Todd. However, when Batman tells Jason he doesn't get to choose who needs help, the Red Hood fights back by telling him he was never given a choice in anything.
Batman and the Red Hood have one of the most complicated relationships in comics following Jason Todd's infamous death at the hands of the Joker. The former Robin would be resurrected and became the Red Hood, who initially took the opposite approach in dealing with crime from Batman, as he wasn't afraid to kill to get justice. Jason has long resented Batman for refusing to kill the Joker, believing he chose the villain's life over his. However, the pair's relationship has somewhat repaired over time, as Red Hood even adopted his former mentor's no-kill rule while rejoining the Bat-Family. But, just because he's on OK terms with Batman doesn't mean Red Hood doesn't still have hate for him.

In Task Force Z #4 by Matthew Rosenberg, Eddy Barrows, Kieron McKeown, Eber Ferreira, Dexter Vines, Adriano Lucas, and Rob Leigh, the Red Hood confronts Two-Face after finding out he's in charge of the undead team.
