Redditors have roasted a player for their version of Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, who clearly is in need of a wash. When RDR2 was released in 2018, it was praised for building a highly detailed world with many realistic features for players to explore, some of which were time-dependent and would only become apparent the longer player spent in the title.
One of these features was the real-time changing state of character models. This saw corpses decaying over time - especially if they were left out in the sun — and also saw the cleanliness and general grooming of RDR2 protagonist Arthur Morgan deteriorate over time as he became covered in blood and dirt. Red Dead Redemption 2's players could also grow out Arthur's hair and beard until they could find a place for him to wash and shave — usually at the player camp.

One RDR2 player, Redditor Humble-Hovercraft-31, didn't seem to be aware of this feature, as they took to Reddit to ask why their version of Arthur Morgan looked the way he did, covered in dark splotches of dirt. They also asked for advice on how to change this and were greeted with the simplest, and most accurate response of "Take a bath, you dirty scoundrel", alongside plenty of friendly roasting from commenters who compared Morgan's unkempt appearance to Stranger Things antagonist Vecna. Some also jokingly called out Humble-Hovercraft-31 on their lack of in-game personal hygiene, commenting "You could try washing once in a while" before moving on to their top recommendations for places to take a bath, with RDR2's iconic town of Strawberry coming out on top as a clear winner for its relaxing ambiance.
