Just like Mario did when he ran into the Phantom in the first Mario + Rabbids game, Rayman's encounter with the ghostly opera Rabbid in the Phantom Show DLC sees him getting brutally roasted, from being called an eggplant to getting called out for the Rabbids taking over his games.
After a whole decade since his last appearance in a non-mobile game, today marks both the release of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope's Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC and hopefully the permanent return of the limbless king. That should be great news for Rayman fans, but they might want to think twice before getting too excited for him, as he's going to need to endure some painfully brutal roasting from the Phantom first.

As pointed out by Twitter user magicrabbidalt, the Phantom is up to his old tricks again in the new DLC and takes to insulting the heroes through song while they fight him. It was pretty surprising in the first game when he did it to Mario and called him out on his "plumb-shaped body type", but that's nothing compared to the verbal beating that he gives Rayman.

This time around, in a much jazzier performance, Phantom starts by noting that Rayman can't make a comeback if he was never a thing in the first place, before comparing him to an eggplant as part of a running joke throughout the DLC (and possibly a callback to him being called a vegetable thingamajig in the Rayman Origins reveal trailer.
Things only get worse as it goes on, though, as the Phantom mercilessly calls Rayman a "setting star that no one will ever see" before singing that it's not a surprise that Rayman would get
