The big reveal about the upcoming Pudgy Penguins game was made at the Consensus 2024 crypto event. The game is expected to hit the scene in the second half of 2025. Mythical Games has hinted that it’s going to be a fun, casual party game with the humour of Pudgy Penguins.
If you’re still unaware of Pudgy Penguins and haven’t seen them popping up all over social media, let me tell you who they are. The IP is a collection of digital artwork of NFTs (non-fungible tokens). Launched in 2021 on the Ethereum blockchain, there are 8,888 hand-drawn NFT penguins.
These cute penguins have amassed a huge following, clocking over 20 billion views on GIPHY. They’ve also become a hit in the world of merchandise, toys and digital collectibles. The Pudgy Penguin toy line is available on Amazon as well as offline stores at Walmart and Target.
Mythical Games is a game development studio known for blending blockchain tech with gaming. Their linup includes hits like NFL Rivals – Football Game and Blankos Block Party. Unfortunately, the latter shut down at the end of 2023.
