PUBG: Battlegrounds continues to be robustly supported with post-launch content and updates. The battle royale game has now been available for four and a half years and, as evidence of that, it's approaching its 18th season of ranked competition. Season 18 will bring with it PUBG: Battlegrounds' update 18.1, which Krafton has now detailed ahead of the update's early-to-mid June launch. PUBG: Battlegrounds players can expect some exciting changes, including the return of the original Sanhok map to Team Deathmatch Mode.
Sanhok was PUBG: Battlegrounds' third map and the first map to have 4x4 kilometer dimensions, making it perfect for fast-paced and aggressive combat. However, for a variety of reasons Krafton «remastered» Sanhok, reworking the map and changing its gameplay entirely. With Season 17, in response to feedback, Krafton reverted Sanhok back to its original form for battle royale modes. With Season 18, Krafton is bringing the original Sanhok back to Team Deathmatch Mode, as well.

Update 18.1 will also feature a sweeping item spawn rebalancing. That means the rates that items are found on any given map are being changed, so PUBG: Battlegrounds looting with take some getting used to again. The primary focus of the rebalancing is to increase the amount of healing items found in Erangel and Miramar. This is because some recent changes have led to gameplay changes revolving around healing items, like more weapons spawning and so there's an increased need for healing items.
