Across the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers, fans gain access to a total of 17 games today, including a PS1 title, a couple of PSP games, some PS3 titles, and 11 PS4 and PS5 titles. Fans have known about these additions for some time now, as Sony decided to reveal them at the same time as the PS Plus free games for September 2022, but release them at the same time.
With their addition, PS Plus subscribers now have October 2022's selection to look forward to as well. It's uncertain if Sony will reveal every addition at the same time again or go back to the distinct Essential/Extra and Premium reveals, but fans will learn more on September 28. New PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for September 2022 File Sizes Revealed
PS Plus Extra is getting the most attention, of course, and it is adding one major PS5 title, two titles that can be played with native PS5 or PS4 versions, and then eight PS4 games. The big seller is Deathloop, especially with its Golden Loop update, and it is joined by a plethora of AAA titles and indie games.
Of course, the biggest appeal of the higher (well, highest) PS Plus tier is access to the classics catalog complete with many nostalgic games. There may not be as many games joining the classics catalog as the PS4 and PS5 games joining the service, but given that the only platform skipped over this month is PS2, it's a solid month nonetheless. Hopefully, the PS Plus Premium Games for October 2022 follow in September's footsteps, instead of August when fans did not get any Premium games.
