Predator Star Jesse Ventura Reviews Prey Movie
Original Predator star Jesse Ventura gushes about the new film Prey. The popular film franchise originated in 1987 with Predator, directed by John McTiernan and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film followed a military rescue mission in the jungle that flies off the rails when it is discovered that a technologically advanced alien Predator is hunting down the team one by one. In the film, Ventura plays Blain Cooper, a merciless gunman who named his weapon Ol' Painless. The cast of the iconic film also includes Carl Weathers, Elpidia Carrillo, Bill Duke, Richard Chaves, R.G. Armstrong, Kevin Peter Hall, and future Iron Man 3director Shane Black.
There have been quite a few films in the Predator franchise since then, including sequels set in Los Angeles, suburbia, and the Predator home planet, as well as two crossovers with the Alien films, but the latest entry is Prey, which premiered on Hulu on August 5. The project was helmed by 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg from a screenplay by Patrick Aison, and is set in the Comanche Nation in 1719. Although the cast also includes Dakota Beavers, Michelle Thrush, Stormee Kipp, Julian Black Antelope, and Dane DiLiegro, the film is largely a one-on-one battle between a dangerous Predator and the young Comanche warrior Naru (Amber Midthunder).

Last night, Ventura took to Twitter to share his review of Prey. He said it was "thoughtful, creative, and wonderful," praising Midthunder and quoting the original film by saying she "ain't got time to bleed." This prompted a loving response from both Midthunder and Trachtenberg, who were bowled over by his praise. The former said "I just… I don't know how to… thank you" while the latter said
