Tokyo Game Show 2022 kicked off on September 15, and the reveals began rolling out immediately, including an announcement that FuturLab’s PowerWash Simulator will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5 “soon.” The unique simulation game originally launched on July 14 for PC and Xbox consoles, and its specific release date for other platforms has not yet been announced.
Published by Square Enix Collective, a division created for indie games and developers, PowerWash Simulator puts players in the role of a professional power washer. The game features a career mode, which can be enjoyed solo or with one other person using online co-op, that tasks players with taking care of dirty jobs around the town of Muckingham. Free play mode lets up to six friends have fun together as they try to tackle any task that the host player has already completed.

Now, the title that PC and Xbox gamers have been appreciating for a couple of months will be coming to Switch and PlayStation consoles, though Square Enix has not clarified precisely when. While it might seem an unlikely subject matter for a video game, PowerWash Simulator has been received fairly positively since it launched in July. On Metacritic, its user score on PC sits at 7.5, while players on Xbox Series X/S have given it an average score of 7.9. On Xbox One, however, it only has four user ratings that result in a score of 6.0.
