New PlayStation VR2 trailer invites players to ‘feel a new real’

Sony Interactive Entertainment has released a new PlayStation VR2 trailer, which includes the slogan “feel a new real”.

“Discover how the revolutionary immersive features of PlayStation VR2 can transport you to thrilling worlds that feel, look and sound real through PlayStation VR2 Sense technology,” reads the official description for the trailer, which is viewable below.

The video shows off some of the headline features of the upcoming hardware including its 4K HDR display, eye tracking, foveated rendering, 110-degree field of view, and adaptive triggers and haptics.

Sony recently confirmed that PS VR2 will launch in “early 2023”.

SIE president Jim Ryan has said there will be more than 20 games ready for the launch of PS VR2.

“Right now, there is a considerable amount of money being spent on partnerships with independent and other third-party developers to secure a considerable pipeline of attractive VR content at the launch of PlayStation VR2,” he said in May.

“That energy, that effort and that money will continue to grow as the installed base of PlayStation VR2 headsets grows also.”
