The free to play, online battle arena game Pokemon Unite has proven to be a big success for The Pokemon Company, TiMi Studios, and Nintendo. Originally launching on July 21, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch, Pokemon Unite has continued to evolve over the past year, with a big focus on cosmetics and battle passes in an effort to keep players coming back to unlock new things.
In addition to limited time events, one of the biggest ways that Pokemon Unite has continued to grow is through expanding its sizable roster of playable characters. Currently, the roster features a wide variety of Pokemon including some you'd expect to see in a battle such as this like Charizard or Zeraora, but it also includes some which may go overlooked like Mr. Mime, Greedent, or even Blissey. However, each one has a particular role, so even the least threatening Pokemon can still prove to be the difference between a win or loss.

With Pokemon Unite's first anniversary happening in July, the popular MOBA has plenty of plans in place to help fans celebrate including a new game mode, special events, and even Holowear cosmetics for Pikachu. The celebration also includes six new Pokemon with the first being one of Eevee's evolved forms, the ice-type known as Glaceon.
Typically, when a new Pokemon is added to the game, players will need to use in-game currency to unlock it. There are two options, the free method which involves using Aeos Coins which are slowly earned through playing the game, winning matches, finishing events, and partaking in events. The other option is to use a premium currency called Aeos Gems, which are purchased using real money.
