Decidueye is one of the more devastating Attackers in Pokemon Unite when played well, thanks to its incredible attack speed, high critical rate, and ability to be more or less self-sufficient. It’s a bit of a glass cannon, but terrifying when hunting down fleeing foes.

Three of its four upgraded moves apply a move speed debuff to rival Pokemon, while the fourth is devastating when multiple enemies are grouped. While Decidueye is best used to wreck the enemy team as a frontline carry, its kit contains a lot of utility and can therefore be an effective off-carry or jungler. We’ve included builds for both.
Decidueye is a relatively safe pick if you want to play the carry role, but are worried your teammates might sabotage your choice in the Pokemon select screen. You’ll prove to be useful no matter which role you end up playing.
Your playstyle may also dictate which role you pick — if you enjoy dealing damage, but don’t want to be in the thick of the melee, then Decidueye is great from the backline. While our builds use more or less the same items, you’ll need to adapt based on your team composition before the game starts.
This build is all about the damage output, and is best played in one of the side lanes behind a tanky Supporter or Defender with blocking capabilities such as Snorlax or Mr. Mime. Ultimately, you’ll want to be protected enough to be able to deal damage without being locked down.
