Pokémon Legends' Shiny Pokémon Change Depending On Time Of Day
A recently discovered potential glitch in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is allowing players to swap their Shiny Pokémon based on the time of day, accidentally creating a new Shiny Hunting method within the game. Pokémon Legends: Arceus has already introduced a number of new Shiny Hunting methods for players to use while exploring the Hisui region, including full odds appearances in the overworld, and objectives designed to boost Shiny odds. However, the ability to swap Shiny species may not have been intentionally included by Game Freak.
Shiny Hunting, or the act of finding rare, alternately colored Pokémon species, has become a staple for fans of the series in recent years. While the mechanic was first introduced in the Second Generation of the Pokémon series, the changes made to increase the accessibility of Shiny Pokémon in later games allowed it to be more enjoyable to a wider audience and has become the focus of numerous popular Pokémon-themed YouTube and Twitch channels. In a recent video shared by AustinJohnPlays on YouTube, the streamer explained an odd Shiny occurrence he and other players had noticed while playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus, in which a Pokémon can be swapped out depending on the time of day.
