Despite serving as one of the series' three main starter types, Grass-type Pokemon are often seen as being a tier below their Water and Fire-type counterparts due in large to their many weaknesses. That's not to say that they're completely useless, however, as evidenced by some of the powerful Grass-type Pokemon found throughout Hisui in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

While it's true that there aren't nearly as many viable options as there are for some of the more popular types like Psychic and Dragon, it's not all doom and gloom. There are still some incredibly impressive Grass-type Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus for those looking to incorporate one into their teams; the very best of which can be found below.
Some may prefer Torterra due to its dual-typing, but, when it comes to stats, Leafeon has the gentle giant beat. To be clear, they do both have the same 525 base stat total, but both rely on their high Attack and Defense stats and Leafeon has Torterra beat in each of these departments. It also boasts more resistances thanks to it being a pure Grass-type and is considerably faster to boot. With an Impish nature, the gap between the pair grows even wider still.
Players can catch themselves a Leafeon inside one of the space-time distortions that appear in the Obsidian Fieldlands area. Alternatively, they can evolve Eevee using a Leaf Stone, with the unevolved fox Pokemon showing up in space-time distortions right across Hisui. Leaf Stones can be found inside these distortions too, as well as being dug up by Ursaluna or traded for Merit Points at the item exchange in Jubilife Village.
