A Pokémon Legends: Arceus player hunting for Hisuian Voltorbs was surprise attacked and exploded by two Voltorbs causing their character to faint. Arceus is the latest game in the Pokémon franchise which came out in January of this year on the Nintendo Switch and quickly became very popular among fans globally. It's an exciting take on classic Pokémon games with a change of gameplay and world design.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus had fans raving, due to the semi-open-world and origin backstory of the Diamond and Pearl games. In the Hisui or Sinnoh region, trainers are tasked with capturing and documenting Pokémon that live there, as well as battling other trainers. Some Pokémon in Arceus are Hisuian variants that look and evolve differently than they did in previous games. A brand new type of variant in Arceus are called Alphas and are larger, angrier, and have higher stats than their counterparts. This, along with the normal Pokémon which also attack trainers, makes Pokémon Legends: Arceus a little more threatening (and exhilarating) than previous Pokémon titles.

According to Dexerto, a Twitch streamer playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus found themselves in danger playing when she was hunting for Hisuian variants of the Electric/Grass-type Pokémon Voltorb and ended up on the wrong side of the hunt. In a video Renae Wittenkeller uploaded to Twitter, a Voltorb attacks her from the side by setting off an explosion. Even worse is when Renae was finally able to get up and begin to flee the scene, a second Voltorb that happened to be a rare shiny type attacked her as well, causing her character to be knocked out.
