Because of this, those wanting Pokémon Legends: Arceus to be a surprise may want to silence social media following the games, or focus only on official websites until January 28, 2022, when the game will officially be available for everyone.
While any new Pokémon game's development is followed closely by fans of the series, Pokémon Legends: Arceus has had particular scrutiny due to trailers showcasing major changes to the Pokémon game formula. Instead of journeying through a linear map with predetermined routes, players will explore vast open-world-inspired areas filled with Pokémon spawning in the overworld. However, according to Dexerto, copies of Pokémon Legends: Arceus are making their way into player hands sooner than anticipated, leaking gameplay and screenshots across social media that could potentially contain big spoilers. In posts shared by PoryLeeks on Twitter, players can see screenshots of the new Hisuian Professor speaking to the player character as he introduces the confirmed starters for the game.
