Despite being based in old Sinnoh, Hisui, Pokemon Legends: Arceus does not make trainers choose Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup as their Starter Pokemon. Instead, they choose between Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott. Gamers familiar with the Pokemon series will realize that these three Pokemon were not native to Sinnoh in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. Fortunately for those who adore the Sinnoh starters, Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup can be found roaming the Hisui region.
Those looking to add a Grass-type to the team can get Turtwig. While Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl made it easier to get Starter Pokemon without trading, trainers had to wait until they beat the game before they could catch one. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Turtwig can be caught before the postgame at an early level.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus — Where to Get Tumblestone
Once players unlock the Crimson Mirelands, they'll be able to get Turtwig.Look at the map and see where Ursa's Ring is located. Next to Ursa's Ring is a river that separates another body of land. On that body of land, there will be a lake near the bottom-right of the map. This is where Turtwig can be caught.
The easiest way to get Turtwig is to use Basculegion or Braviary since it'll make crossing the river easier. For those who want Turtwig earlier, the only other way to get it is by circling around Lake Valor, which is located at the upper-right of the Crimson Mirelands.
Another way to get to Turtwig's habitat is by using Wyrdeer to get a running start and leap across the river. If done correctly, Wyrdeer will despawn once it hits the water, and trainers can «swim» to the other shore. Unfortunately, this method only works at certain locations along the river. So, it may be easier to go around Lake Valor
