Mega Kangaskhan is finally back for Mega Evolution raids from the weeks of August 12th to August 21st. This Mega Form combines mama Kangaskhan's power with its baby to pack a powerful Normal-type punch. Therefore, choose your Fighting-type Pokémon and Pokémon moves wisely to counter it correctly. With a Max Combat Power on a Partly Cloudy day in-game, this Pokémon can get up to 2,750 CP, meaning you'll need around three to five trainers to successfully take Mega Kangaskhan down.

This is super important to note since Kangaskhan, in general, is a region-locked Pokémon. This means that, unless you live in Australia, this Pokémon should be caught during this raid until you decide to go on an adventure around the world one day. If you find a Pokémon Gym in with an Egg with a Mega Evolution mark on it, Mega Kangaskhan will appear during its 10-day showcase.
Giovanni has a new lineup in August 2024, so you'll need to know their weaknesses and best counters if you want to defeat this Pokémon GO villain.
Mega Kangaskhan and regular Kangaskhan share the same Pokémon type, Normal-. This means its weakness is fairly easy to seek out since Normal-type Pokémon are only weak to Fighting-type moves. As unbalanced as this might sound, with Kangaskhan only having one weakness, many Pokémon can learn Fighting-type moves that can counter it.
