Dewgong has been actively appearing in Pokémon Go raid battles as it's all part of the current Power Plant event in the game. Gym Leader Spark is on the verge of unlocking the Mysterious Door of the Season of Heritage. This event directly leads to February's Johto Tour event, a two-day event where every Pokémon from the Johto region will have their Shiny forms added to the game. The Power Plant event in Pokémon Go is active from Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
