Generation Seven releases in Pokémon GO will continue with the debut of Salandit and Salazzle alongside the All-Hands Rocket Retreat in the coming week. The influx of Pokémon species from the Sun and Moon games has given many fans much-needed new encounters while exploring. While some additions have been less exciting, like Pikipek, others like Rockruff and the Alolan starters have helped boost the numerous events Pokémon GO has offered in past months. For many, however, the addition of the Poison/Fire-type Salandit is particularly exciting.
Pokémon GO has started 2022 with almost weekly events. This has included smaller options for Valentine's Day, April Fool's Day, and Community Days, as well as large-scale celebrations like the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto in February and the currently ongoing «Seasons of Alola» event. Additionally, Niantic recently announced in-person and global events for Pokémon GO Fest 2022 for June, July, and August, giving players plenty to look forward to as the weather for outdoor gaming continues to improve.

To add to the events already planned, an update from Pokémon Go Live has announced an All-Hands Rocket Retreat event will be happening from Sunday, April 2 to Thursday, April 7. The event will feature new Shadow Pokémon like Sudowoodo, Girafarig, and Numel for Team GO Rocket Grunts and Leaders, while Boss Giovanni will have Shadow Latias. Additionally, Salandit and its evolution Salazzle will debut alongside the All-Hands Rocket Retreat, though they will not be available as Shiny upon release.
